Abstract Cellulose has experienced a renaissance as precursor for carbon fibers (CFs). However, cellulose possesses intrinsic challenges substrate such typically low yield. This study examines the interplay of strategies to increase carbonization yield (ligno-) cellulosic manufactured via coagulation process.
